My Top 10 Travel Tips After 3 Years of Traveling

I have been traveling all over the world now for three years. I always knew I wanted to travel, so I gave up a lot to see my dream come true. This is a list of my top 10 travel tips for anyone who loves to travel.

Patient Is Important

Don’t worry about the things you can’t control. Life is short, so don’t be angry and annoyed all the time. If you miss a deadline, don’t worry, there will always be another one. Sometimes, freakouts sneak up on us regardless.

Practice your breathing by taking a deep breath, and remind yourself that everything is going to be alright.

Wake up Early

Rise and shine with the sun and you will increase your chances at getting all the best attractions to yourself. The soft diffuse light from the morning also makes it the best time to take the best picture.

Stash Extra Cash

Cash is king around the world. To make sure you are always prepared for all type of emergency make sure to keep a stash in some different places. I recommend that you stash a few hundreds just incase you lose your wallet or your cards stop working.

Meet Local People

Make it apoint to meet some of the locals where you are visiting. Meeting other travelers is fun too but the experience you will gain from meeting the locals is priceless. Basic English is spoken all over the world so communicating with someone in a different country might be easier than you think.

Take Lots of Photos

When you are traveling, always rememberyou might only see these places and the people once in your lifetime so be sure to take pictures of everything that grabs your attention. Don’t worry about looking like a “tourist”. No one to look cool. No one cares. Great photos are the ultimate souvenir.

There’s Always A Way

Impossible shouldn’t be a part of anyone’s vocab. If you are having trouble getting somewhere or completing a task don’t give up, always remember that hard work pays off.

Smile & Say Hello

Smile and laughter is the universal language of the world. If you are having trouble communicating with the locals or if everyone just looks mean to you. Just remember to smile and say hello when ever you run into a local.

Splurge A Bit

I’m a huge of traveling on a budget. Having a budget for your trip allows you to travel longer and experience more of the fascinating areas of the world. every now and then it’s ok to live a little and splurge a bit and have some fun.

Pack Ear Plugs

This should be at the top of your list of thing to get before you go on your trip. I love my earplugs! Remember everywhere is not going to be like the neighborhood you live in, some places are noisy 24-7 and sleeping at night might be a challenge in some countries.

Don’t Be Afraid

The world is not nearly as dangerous as the media makes it out to be. Keep an eye out for sketchy situations but don’t let that be the focus of your whole trip. Use common sense and you’ll be ok. Most people are friendly, trustworthy, generous, and willing to help you out.
